So why did 50 Cent do it? We all know that Young Buck hasn’t been the Tony Yayo Fifty expects all his loyal followers to be, and he did say “F*ck G-Unit” a few weeks back. But every other day Fifty is going at a new rapper, just last week he started taking shots at T.I. for snitching. So why did Boo-Boo ruin Buck’s career?
1. New G-Unit album
Fifty has relied on using trumped up beef in the past to sell records and bring attention to him, and his release of the phone conversation has done just that. Unfortunately, the people who used to buy 50 Cent and G-Unit albums, have moved on to Lil Wayne.
2. He had the evidence
If I was taping my friends when they call me at 3 in the morning either drunk or crying that their girl left them, I sure as hell would be airing them out on a monthly basis. Luckily for them, I can’t get this damn recorder to work. But think about this, imagine you had damaging evidence against someone who just told you where to go, wouldn’t you be itching to the pull the merk lever?
3. Lil Wayne & Southern rappers
When you have this druggie making millions of songs per hour, putting out a mixtape every day and generating all this interest because of his music, OMG, his music, and bringing Southern rappers back on the charts. What’s an egotistical New York rapper, whose popularity is on the decline, to do? Destroy the South. Look at the people who Fifty has been attacking as of late? Lil Wayne. T.I. Rick Ross. Young Buck. He’s also made some snide remarks about Southern artist being ringtone rappers and not being able to sell. Fifty’s dissed everyone on the Eastcoast, it was only inevitable he was going to attack the South -he’s got albums to sell people. Point is, 50 Cent is perplexed by Lil Wayne.
