A few days ago, Kanye unveiled his Nike endorsed shoes dubbed the Nike Air Yeezy. Now much speculation hit in the net as to where Kanye got his “inspiration” for the shoes from or in other words what did he sample this time? One site claims the Nike Air Yeezy took its inspiration from the Air Jordan 3, Bape Roadsta and the Ato Cow Hide boot as demonstrated in the picture above. Now I’m not saying he didn’t he might have very well.
But the very first second I saw the Nike Air Yeezy I thought he copied the ones Marty McFly in Back to the Future 2 rocks. Now having just recently bought the Back to the Future trilogy DVD box set for this movie, which incidentally was one of my favorite 80s movies and is still one of my favorite movies of today, I took this picture of the Nike’s from the movie. Peep game.
Do I even have to mention the artwork in Kanye’s album Graduation of the bear driving the delorean or even Kanye’s rhymes on the intro song “…scared of the future while I hop into the delorean”.
For all you 90’s babies reading this, the delorean is the name of the time traveling car in the Back to the Future movies.
