T.I.’s Pissing Me Off

T.I. Papertrail

T.I. or TIP, I’m not sure who, but that nagger is pissing me off lately. Let me preface my comments by saying, I’m a big T.I. fan and rate Urban Legend as one of the classic albums of the 2000s. Now that’s out of the way, what’s got me about this little guy is his response to a caller who calls into a radio station and asks him “Why risk your career?” with regards to Tip’s failed attempt to purchase some heavy artillery (peep the video below).

Basically, Tips’s argument is that it is his life and we (the general public) don’t know what he has to go through to protect himself, family and friends, because of the high-profile status he enjoys. My response to that is that his high profile status should allow him to afford security detail that can be the “gun carriers” for the crew. Now we all know it was Tip’s own security guard that snitched on his ass, so we can give him the benefit of the doubt that he was looking for some “personal protection”.

Now there’s nothing wrong with owning a handgun. We all have the right to own a gun and shoot whoever the hell tries to come and jack us or kill us (depending on what state you live in), but to go out and purchase motherfriggen AK’s is paranoia on another level. What are you fighting the Taliban? Give your partnas glocks for Christmas and stop throwing money on bum rappers at your shows and all your security woes will be solved.
