“The Dark Knight” Selling An Average Of 10 Tickets Per Second!

Dark Knight Joker

Have you seen The Dark Knight yet? According to this a hell of a lot of folks have,

Media By Numbers, a tracking firm, said the Warner Bros. film, directed by Christopher Nolan, set a box office record for a midnight debut, bringing in $18.5 million Friday from midnight screenings in 3,040 theaters _ many of them open 24 hours. That bested the 2005 performance of “Star Wars Episode III: The Revenge of the Sith,” which took in $16.9 million at its debut. “The Dark Knight” figure didn’t include any of its 3 a.m. or 6 a.m. showings.

I want to see this so bad, I gotta convince the wifey for tonight. The reviews all giving The Dark Knight a thumbs up and even Rotten Tomatoes is giving this a 94%. I was pretty much sold when I saw the 6 minute trailer.

Real talk, I loved the first Batman with Jack Nicholson as Joker. We’ll see if Heath Ledger can live up to the Joker role.

  1. dude heath ledger puts jack nicholsons performance to shame… this is a totally differnt kind of joker he’s still funny but in a really sick demented “saw” kind of way…. but best movie i’ve seen so far this year hands down. <3 fresco

  2. Dark Knight was exactly as the name implied, it was dark. Probably the darkest superhero movie ever. Actually you could tell it took a lot of editing to get to PG-13. Great movie featuring a lot of talented actors, Heath Ledger will be missed.
