God is Not Great

Author Christopher Hitchens hit up The Hour to talk about his book “God is Not Great”. His position is basically that God doesn’t exist and religion is responsible for a large amount of human suffering. I happen to agree with him on the latter point, however, I still do think God exists. I had a philosophy teacher once tell me, “It’s better to believe in God than not, because if your wrong, so what, but if your right you’ll be fine, but if you don’t believe and your wrong, who knows?” Not that’s a good reason to believe in God, but good enough of for me.

What say you? Believer? Non-believer? Religious? Non-religious?

  1. God is amazing, great, and beyond any words that can be describe. How did we get here, who created us? God is through all and in all, and as always he is the one who governs the nations. His spirit lives on in us which is why he sent his only son to die on the cross for our sins. Everyday we have to commit to what he wants us to do, and whatever he wants we need. For those who don’t believe, God will oppose you and for the ones who do and continuosly stay wrapped up in his love will be given grace.
