Fuck what Tim says, Rap and hip hop DOES take talent! However, he does have somewhat of a point. Metal IS coming back thanks to the internet, but ALSO thanks to how record people have turned hip hop into a talentless, gimicky bullshit genre in the mainstream that can be EASILY forgotten! What kind of "next generation of music" has artists that are quickly and easilly forgotten after their first 15 minutes of fame?! The the generation of music that wasn't worth remembering!!!! FUCK Hurricane Chris and FUCK Soulja Bitch! NOBODY will remember their faggotory "music" in a few years, you mark my words!

In reality "the hip hop is dead" crowd is just a reflection of what the consumer thinks. The majority of consumers of music are white- there are more whites than most other peoples in western society. With the "death" of glam metal came a vacuum to be filled- rap did this and temporarily helped bring blacks and whites together at a time when was needed for psychological healing. It was a new gimmick like disco. Metal and some rock was forced into the underground and the internet helped it come back. the musicians of rock and metal were forced to become better- the same exact thing will happen and is now happening to rap-one difference though- it will never ever achieve the same level of popularity again!!!!!! Whites are increasingly turning away from rap music because it isnt quality music-anyone can do it now-and in many cases one doesnt have to know anything about music at all. its true that there is some talent in the genre but one percent isnt going to cut it anymore. the internet has changed everything. Glam metal in a sense was worse than rap though= the way it was packaged was a mistake. The culture wasn't ready for the next level of rock and metal and rap sounded goofy and non-evil.How ignorant of whitey-lesson learned. Glam metal died because it was too gay for the consumer to accept. while metallica gained momentum slightly in the underground, rap took over alongside a temporary cultural shift. blacks went from disco, soul, funk and jazz to rap-blacks as well as whites didnt have to concentrate on learning to be good musicians anymore. All peoples that are interested in rap and r & b should consider learning to read music and play instruments. THey should learn about fusion and get back to the roots- namely jazz- to make the " new underground movement of rap" more interesting and viable.
