Royce Da 5′9″, who I think is one of the wackest rappers of all time, is taking shots at Joe Budden in his new song I’m Nice. No your not. I’m not even going to post the audio but here’s an excerpt of the verse.

What’s beef? I’ll play it one way, violate it Sunday get annihilated Monday
you niggas is actors, what is you recording?
ill leave you bleeding lying on the cutting room floor then,
listen to Joe Budden say, ‘I fell the f*** off,’
but he never fell on, i’ll just gonna ignore him,
make a nigga extra famous after I warned him,
don’t jump, you gay as, Greg Louganis, into that water,
you dont want it, you can either have a nice after noon,
or you can have your family do the mournin’”

I downloaded Bar Exam 2 and deleted it after one listen. I don’t know what the hype is around Royce…

  2. Spidaman Says:

I don’t understand how he has a major cult following. Is it because of his backpack style (because we know backpackers == best lyricist in the game)? He only had one song i liked and it was really average.

  3. YoRapper Says:

I was wondering the same thing. Royce had that time song or whatever it was called a long time ago and that’s it. His metaphors are so basic, his voice is average, his flow is basic. I think the cult following is just made up.

  4. Doom Says:

You all are insane. Yes Royce is nice. He’s actually one of the best lyricists out today. He has had the best verse in most of the Slaughterhouse songs (which just so happen to include Joe Budden).
Spidaman, What exactly is a backpack style? I thought it was defined as nonviolent and socially conscious. Most of Royce’s catalog is violent. Second what “flow” are you referring to? If you truly knew what a flow was you’d know that his changes with every song he’s on. I think that “time” song you’re referring to is Boom btw.

If you don’t like royce you must like that poppy bull$hit they put on the radio these days! You need to listen to his disses of d12, mistah fab cause he killlllled them outright!

  6. YoRapper Says:

My opinion on Royce has gone 360 in the last few months. His last album and last mixtapes are fire. “Shake That” is incredible.
