When Plies first came out he was doing a lot of gangsta songs. Now this nigga went main stream and he became a R&B artist. This seems to happen a lot with rap artist, one rapper that comes to mind is Ja Rule. I think when you go that route you make your self acceptable to be tried like Ja rule was tried by 50.
