Kanye West drops the fourth single to Graduation (though he’s not even in this video..err sorta). I have to say this is the kind of creativity hip hop needs because it’s been a while since I actually could sit and watch a whole rap music video.

Jay-Z has leaked the full version of Jockin’ Jay-Z and on first listen I ain’t feelen’ this joint no more. The live version sounded more hype, but isn’t that always the case? Remember how we heard Lil Wayne’s Gossip live on BET before the mp3 hit the net? And how much the live version killed the actual song.

Anyway to complete my post from yesterday on whether Blueprint 3 would be a classic, I’m thinking it wont. But wont commit to that just yet.

This song is kinda wavy. But what I don’t get is if you got paper for a Max B feature and all the rapper accessories, why not put something into making a decent video? The only conclusion one can take from all this: “fake it till you make it”.

So now apparently Kanye West (and not Timbaland) will be producing the bulk of Jay-Z’s last album on Def Jam entitled The Blueprint 3. A title I happened to predict would be the name of Jay’s next album, by the way. And since I’m touting my own horn, I just realized I predicted that Kardinal Offishall got next in 2008. Juelz speaks about his recent departure from Dip Set Records Cam’ron and his 50/50 deal with Def Jam. Juelz does make it clear that even though he’s not under Cam’s label anymore he’s “still Dip Set”.

He also adds that even if you don’t see Jim Jones or him with Cam’ron “it’s still Dip Set”. Now we all know Jim Jones and Cam haven’t talked for years, so this leads me to believe “Dip Set” is not a rap crew, it is a noun that can be used to describe a person, place or thing.

The Game hits up Friday Night Flavas to discuss his third album, LAX. He talks about the DMX assisted intro and outro, joining Westside Connection, his homies Nas and Busta Rhymes and him producing Nas’ Make the World Go Around and writing Chris Brown’s hook on that joint. He also talks about living beside rock band Good Charlotte.

Comedian Bernie Mac died today, Saturday August 9th, 2008, from complications due to pneumonia in a Chicago area hospital, his publicist, Danica Smith, said in a statement from Los Angeles. She said no other details were available. Read more »

Diddy and Fat Joe hit up Rosenberg & Cipha’s Morning Show on Hot 97 to…do really nothing other than to crack some jokes. We do learn that Fat Joe and Biggie were tight and were supposed to do an album together called “Twins”. Take that Jay-Z!

Kardinal Offishall’s single Dangerous has already gone GOLD in the US and his album won’t be released until September 9th, 2008. Nothing but props to Kardi, he’s worked hard to get where he is. From the looks of the tracklisting, the album, Not 4 Sale is going to chart. Damn he’s got tracks with Akon, T-Pain, The Dream and Rihanna!?
