Lupe Fiasco’s The Cool Goes Gold

Lupe Fiasco’s second critically acclaimed album, The Cool, has reached Gold status this week as per the RIAA. The album having been released last December has within the last four months sold over the required 500,000 units, making it Lupe’s second Gold album.

Lupe has said in the past that he and his label would be happy if The Cool went gold, so it looks like a great day for Lupe and his team. Big congrats to Lupe for doing some impressive numbers in the current environment and for making music that doesn’t regularly get Top 40 radio play. All you laffy taffy rappers take heed.
