Lil Wayne recently announced at the 2008 Bet Hip Hop Awards that he would be re-releasing Tha Carter 3 in the coming months. He stated that it would be reissued with all brand new songs.

Hmmmm. I wonder why he would do this? When Tha Carter 3 came out I saw an interview of Lil Wayne where he seemed really surprised that the album did so well and I got the impression that he rushed the music. I think he knows, like the rest of us anti-wayne stans, that his album was mediocre. It’s only the dumb ass kids hailing it as a classic. I doubt anyone is replaying that album right now.

I stopped listening to it in early June.

    I agree, it did seemed rushed. What scared me was when he was still sending songs to the label a few weeks before it came out. He had two years to work on this…and songs are still making the cut 2 weeks before it hits stores? Really?
    And it seemed like he would just record and the label chose what made the cut. Maybe that’s how it always works, but that seemed wack to me. I’d like the think the dude has a little more control on his most anticipated LP than that…and he should care more than that, too.

    The scary part is that Baby is the one who picked the songs for the album, not Wayne.

    tha carter 3 was garbage. the first 4 songs were good and the rest of the album was straight garbage.
