Jay-Z says, “Last year I beat artist to the studio” as a testament to his work ethic, yet, I could have sworn I heard reports that said Jay would be mad late to the office. Now I’m not saying being on time to the studio is the same thing as being on time to the office. But how does that show work ethic when studio sessions are usually late at night? And having to go to the office is something you have to wake up mad early for? Obviously, your going to make it to the studio on time, and obviously your going to beat other younger artists to the studio since they are probably getting high and partying while you’re already passed that.
