I Think I Figured Out the Meaning to “Lark On My Go Kart”

Lisa Turtle Lark Voorhies

Remember back in the day you would be thinking of Wu-Tang lyrics and all of a sudden their hidden meaning would hit you. I kind of just had that moment with the Asher Roth song “Lark On My Go Kart”. Now knowing Asher’s steez, I thought it was just some sexual innuendo, but because I happened to be reading a Where Are They Now article on the cast of Saved By The Bell, I figured Asher named the song for the character Lisa Turtle from Saved By the Bell as her real name is Lark Voorhies. Incidentally, he also has a line in the song where he says, “You can take Kapowski, I’mma take Lark on my go kart”, which pretty much clears it up as Kelly Kapowski is also a character from Saved By the Bell.

Anyway, as you we’re.

THAT ACTUALLY MAKES SENSE!!! cuz if u watch the actual video @ that part they have all the kids in saved by the bell! but i dont get why he would make a song JUST about saved by the bell. Its obviously about sex and getting high. But yes, that does make sense. Lark on my gokart also means to be very happy. and ya no, getting high, makes ya happy. and getting “happy” is also being aroused…
