Cool & Dre Discuss Lil Wayne’s Next Album “Rebirth”

Cool & Dre downplay the supposed “rock” themed nature of Lil Wayne’s upcoming Rebirth album.

I personally am getting tired of people saying that if you are a rapper and you do other genres of music you are some how more creative than guys that “just rap”. As if just rapping makes you less creative. Why not just rap great instead of doing half-ass rock/electro/ballets?

    i’m saying this as a fan of wayne’s. there’s nothing classic about him, and i definitely agree on the creativity part. there’s a difference between being creative and having verses thrown on some terrible Fall Out Boy track
